H&M, a leading fashion brand, has taken its customer engagement to the next level by launching an immersive metaverse experience on Roblox. The platform’s clothing and accessory creation has seen a 25% year-on-year growth, making it a perfect opportunity for H&M.
The latest H&M Loooptopia Experience allows players to create virtual wardrobes and garments for their avatars. This allows them to experiment with materials and patterns. The experience centers around a bustling city square and offers a variety of interactive experiences. These experiences include styling sessions, events, mini-games, alternate worlds, and social interactions.
The H&M Loooptopia Experience on Roblox offers players a fashion-forward adventure through four unique alternate worlds. The worlds are Loooptopia City, Neon Studiooo, Rainbooow Fields, and Fabric Fooorest. Users can move around on scooters, collect fashion ingredients, and use zip lines, and jump pads to reach hard-to-find items. Users can also style their avatars with various accessories, music tracks, dance moves, and special effects for runway shows.
The experience is also an educational design, promoting a circular economy. Players can recycle old clothes, trade clothes with friends, collect super-rare elements, and become the star of the runway performance. The H&M experience was developed in partnership with Dubit, a metaverse studio.
Not The First To Venture Into The Metaverse
H&M is the latest brand to join the ranks of luxury fashion brand Gucci in taking their customer engagement to the virtual world of Roblox. Gucci has made a splash in the immersive experience space, selling virtual handbags for more than their physical counterparts and maintaining a constant presence in the platform through Gucci Town. The town features a central piazza, games, Selfie Way, a Creative Corner, and a virtual shop. The brand’s activations on Roblox also include the Gucci Garden Archetypes.
Nike has also made a significant impact in Roblox since the launch of Nikeland in late 2021. Players can deck out their avatars in Nike gear, play soccer and basketball with friends, create mini-games, gain virtual sports abilities, and many more. Popular brands like Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Vans, Karlie Kloss and Tommy Hilfiger have also dipped their toes into the platform.
According to Roblox, more than 11 million creators have designed over 62 million accessory and clothing items on the platform from January to September 2022, a 25% increase from the previous year.
