Tech giant, Google, has announced its AI technology Chatbox, Bard, will be out in the coming weeks. This new AI is to rival internet sensation, ChatGPT.
Google had initially explored the features of this novelty with its staff to confirm its feasibility. These tests came after a general meeting that involved all staff members. Members at the meeting discussed the business’ AI competitive edge in light of ChatGPT’s recent surge in popularity.
Jeff Dean, Google’s head of artificial intelligence, informed staff members that the business is proceeding “more cautiously than a small startup”. This is because of the greater “reputational risk” associated with supplying inaccurate information. Jeff and Pichai hinted that Google would release such a novelty to the general public this year.
About Bard and its features
Google introduced Bard to rival ChatGBT, an artificial intelligence developed by OpenAI and supported by Microsoft. In addition, Google used the Language Model for Dialogue Applications, a subsidiary of Google’s company, to create Bard. It also affirmed on a blogpost on Monday that the conversational technology would be first access to its “trusted testers” before it would be made available to the universe.
Some of Bard’s features include “Apprentice Bard” and “Search Engine” for desktop designs. These search formats will both help with answering questions.
“Soon, you’ll see AI-powered features in Search that distill complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-digest formats, so you can quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web: whether that’s seeking out additional perspectives, like blogs from people who play both piano and guitar, or going deeper on a related topic, like steps to get started as a beginner.”

Google made it known that Bard would simplify complicated topics for subscribers as if one is explaining what happened during World War II to a 5-year-old girl. Bard gets any task done by leveraging information on the Internet to provide high-quality and modified answers.
In addition, the company stated on Monday that it would require thorough testing, confirming, “we’ll combine external feedback with our own internal testing to make sure Bard’s responses meet a high bar for quality, safety and groundedness in real-world information.”
In 1998, Google changed the internet game by introducing a revolutionary online search. The tech giant’s prime business remains web search.
