Upland and Decentraland to Hold the Brazilian Carnival on the Metaverse

Decentraland and Upland collaborate to create the most thrilling and immersive virtual experience. These two metaverse titans are working on hosting the Brazillian Carnival on the metaverse.

The Metaverse Brazillian Carnival

Many people regularly go to Brazil’s streets to participate in the legendary Brazilian Carnival. The Brazillian Carnival is a celebration of culture, music and lifestyle. However, in 2021, the event got canceled because of the pandemic.

Decentraland and Upland are bringing the Carnival to the Metaverse. They hope to present an engaging method for people to participate in the celebrations to keep the Carnival spirit alive. All of February 2023 will be devoted to the virtual Brazilian Carnival.

This year’s Carnival will run from February 17 to February 25. Many metaverse guests from across the globe can see the highlights in Salvador, Sao Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro locations.

The Metaverse Event Agenda

The Upland Metaverse has several agendas like live performances and broadcasts, street carnivals, and carnival schools. All of these activities make the Brazilian Carnival, an exciting event to participate in. One of the event’s attractions is the 2023 samba show from Mangueira, the most prominent samba school in Brazil.

Decentraland allows guests to have a behind-the-scenes look at a three-dimensional recreation of Mangueira’s samba sanctuary, live broadcasts, and parties. Furthermore, the attendees can see the twenty titles earned by the pink and green samba school in the picture. This further enhances the Carnival’s immersive experience.

Digital influencers and recently released emojis with samba movement inspiration will be at the parties. Influencers Tang Poko and Nina Verso will attend the Carnival events and interact with visitors. Also, participants can buy digital carnival outfits with their avatars.

In addition, there will be live performances from Float Car Fissura, the Band Filhos de Jorge, DJs DH8, and Clara Cady. The attendees of the Carnival parties, or “foliões,” will be accompanied by Miles throughout these performances. Miles is the Upland metaverse’s mascot.

Moreover, the organizers believe hosting the carnival on the Metaverse is a fantastic chance to show off the possibilities of virtual worlds. Also, they believe that the metaverse allows them to bring people together from across the globe. Thousands of people worldwide are anticipated to participate, bringing the carnival atmosphere to their homes.
