Sandbox VR, the world’s leading virtual reality game company, has launched its latest immersive virtual reality game, “Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire.” Interestingly, the game is set in a fantasy world where players form part of a band of adventurers who explore a castle, using weapons like swords, axes, bows, and magic, to defeat enemies and solve mysteries. According to the CEO of Sandbox VR, Steve Zhao, the game’s development is a significant step towards the company’s goal of creating unique virtual reality experiences.
Also, Sandbox VR boasts the game is the company’s first virtual reality game helmed by its Vice President of Content and Creative Director, Michael Hampden, and featured team members who have worked on some of its hit projects.
Zhao explained ‘Dragonfire’ entails a fantasy world where players form part of a band of adventurers who face off against a variety of mysteries and enemies. While the adversaries employ swords, axes, bows, and magic, players explore areas like a ruined fortress, an underground river, a haunted tomb, and the dragon’s tower, all while proving their worthiness as Seekers of the Shard.

Also, the company reportedly added a feature in ‘Dragonfire’ which will enable players to request a version of the game that removes graphic violence, making it friendly for players of all ages.
Dragonfire to launch in June
‘Dragonfire’ will launch globally in June. Additionally, Sandbox VR x Squid Game virtual reality experience which the company announced in February will follow Dragonfire by late 2023 according to Auganix.org. Sandbox VR website also reveals that ‘Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire’ brings the total number of virtual reality games by the company to seven. Other games include Deadwood Valley, Deadwood Mansion, Curse of Davy Jones, Amber Sky 2088, Star Trek: Discovery, and UFL: Unbound Fighting League.
